Here’s the details on AT&T: $199.99 after a $100 MIR with a 2-year deal
Making another Bold statement.
It’s tough to beat classic black, and the Bold is already my favorite BB in the history of the company. On October 18, AT&T will release a Mr. Clean version of the Bold in all white. I have to admit it looks rather fetching in Winter white.
Wanna save $3.99?
For the most part, many of us have learned to ignore advertising. If you’re one of those folks and don’t mind ads in your app, check out The Weather Channel free version. You get everything you do in the paid app: hourly and daily forecasts, as well weather alerts and more. If however, you despise ads, drop #3.99 on the paid app. Both available in BlackBerry App World.
A great iPhone app makes the jump to BB.
Dictionary.com has been available on the iPhone for some time and it rocks. Yesterday, it hit BlackBerry App World and is of equal, if not better goodness than the iPhone version.

I am a proud, well, not so proud owner of the Storm. A great concept, that doesn’t stack up to other touch phones in the market. I am anxious to see if Storm 2 fixes the ills that plague the original. Good news is that the hardware and software are fresh. This is a great video to catch a glimpse.
Compared to other platforms, BlackBerry Apps are 3x more expensive.
According to Distimo, on average, buyers of BlackBerry apps are going to spend 3 times as much as the Android or iPhone counterparts.
It was only this week when we talked about the high costs of apps on “non-iPhone” platforms and asked for some synergy in pricing. Now a third party confirms it with a decent study. Not that it really needed confirming.
There’s been a lot of chatter going on in the developer world about the pricing of Apps. Ultimately it’s a business like any other. Pricing usually levels at what the market will allow. However, in cross platform pricing, there’s an unfair advantage given to the iPhone. In our opinion, the pricing we see in non-iPhone platforms is likely to be coming to an iTunes store near you in the future. Upgrades are typically free, yet there’s always a significant amount of work that needs to be done to create a good quality upgrade. Who pays for that? Right now, it’s being paid for by an ever growing audience for the apps as new downloads happen. However, that will slow over time and developers will need to make a living.
As a consumer, I like the $0.99 app thing. As a developer, I like the pricing to be a little more in line with other platforms. However, as both a consumer and developer, I think that pricing should be the same across platforms.
Mutant Island
A whopping $6.99, but if it’s anything like previous Crash games on different platforms, it’s well worth it.
Available on BlackBerry App World, I don’t know how this slipped by me, but it’s been there since July!

more »Get your download on, this is a big improvement.
Updated and worthy of a download in our opinion. One thing I’m now learning to really enjoy across platforms is the ability to add friends and contacts by scanning bar codes. It’s available here as well. In addition you can share items with more than one contact at once. Of course the UI is a vast improvement.
You can Download via the App Store.
There’s a full list of updates after the jump.
