Have you ever started to play a video game, then for some strange reason you couldn’t stop playing it because you had to beat the high score? You spend wasted hours staring at the screen and the world around you becomes a blur. It’s almost like the game has cast a spell on you and the only cure is to beat the high score. This addiction is created when you play an insanely addicting game. If you have never played Doodle Jump be warned this may happen to you.
Doodle Jump is a platform jumper game and like most other jumper games the objective is to ascend as high as you can while avoiding the obstacles. Some of the obstacles include: monsters, breaking platforms, disappearing platforms, and moving platforms. Your doodle character jumps automatically as he lands on each platform, tilt the iPod touch, iPhone or iPad to move left or right and touch the screen to shoot the monsters. There are items you can collect that will help you throughout the game; the springs, rocket pack, trampoline and propeller hat all help you gain altitude, while the shield protects your doodle from the monsters.
This game also comes with some cool features. If you have a facebook or twitter account you can upload your scores to show off or see how well your friends did (if they have the game). Doodle Jump also allows you to change the theme of your game to make game play more interesting.
Doodle Jump has been seen on many popular TV shows such as; Jimmy Fallon, Big Bang Theory, and CBS Evening News With Katie Couric. As you can see this is a very popular game, it’s even won multiple awards. It has been in the top twenty-five on the app store multiple times and is currently number three. I highly recommend this game it is extremely fun. Have fun, but be warned it will take over your life.
