That’s right folks, iPad apps are now being accepted.  You can click here to start developing yours.  We also just got word that at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB Show), a new Teleprompter iPad app will be on display.

Since it’s split from parent Time Warner, AOL has professed it’s getting into the content business in a big way.  Some of our favorite sites are now in fact AOL sites (Engadget, Autoblog), and as a disclaimer, AOL has opened conversations with App24Phones and our sister sites as well. 

To that end, AOL is now getting into iPhone apps.  Their auto app is a step in that direction.  You can download it here.  I personally haven’t downloaded it yet, and will hold off on commentary until we can give it a healthy look and review.

There’s a bunch of new changes to the PayPal app.

• You can now send a money request to your contacts
• Withdraw from your PayPal acct to deposit in your bank
• Exchange payment by using Bump

My personal favorite is the ability to now bump your phone to another iPhone and exchange a payment.

It’s very easy to run up a big bill when you start adding a cover, a stand, another cord, keyboards and more.  Top this out with a 64GB machine and no 3G and you’re still looking at $1,000.  But you know you want this!  We’ll be covering this more on our sister site (still in beta) MacCoalition.com

What will the new iPhone be called?  It really can’t be called 4G as in 4th generation, because it will be too confusing with 4G networks.  We do know however, that OS 4.0 is in development, and as AppleInsider reports; ““remains under development and reportedly has a quite ‘way to go’ before it’s ready for prime time.”

AppleInsider goes on to say they’ve found evidence of multitasking support.  That can’t happen fast enough.  I can’t imagine that the iPad would come without such support, yet again, I would have bet the farm that it would have come with a camera as well.  Apple is saving that to make me upgrade to iPad 2.0, or whatever the name will be…

Typically MacWorld reviews tend to be a little on the “better” side in our opinion, while typical reader reviews of the same product, tend to be a little less forgiving.  Rock Band for iPhone is the opposite.  Scoring only 3 out of 5 possible mice, MacWorld is tough on the new iPhone app.  Readers however give it 4.5 out of 5 stars.

I just downloaded the app yesterday.  The first thing I noticed is that – yup, I like it.  After only one session however, my hands felt cramped.  This is not the ideal platform for this product, if only for that reason.  The only other thing I found not top notch, was that it seemed a little easy.  Out of the gate, I was scoring top scores even on “hard” and I’d never played before.  That makes us pause for a moment that the game may not have lasting power.  However, the great thing about this and other apps is the ability to have in-app purchases.  Already you can download a bunch of new songs that make this game fresh over time.

We’ll be doing our own review, but first take is that it’s fun and I think it’s worth the money.

At $9.99 it’s not cheap but fans of Zagat have the ability to carry the popular data in their pocket at all times.  Version 2 brings the beta ability to be a little more social as well.

If you’re wondering if the app is free for subscribers to Zagat, no such luck, but the mobile app is worth the $10 in our opinion.  You can’t write reviews from the app yet, but it’s likely coming to a future release.

I ordered Nike ID shoes once and it’s a pretty cool concept.  One that I expect will become more commonplace among many different manufacturers.  Nike has done a great job with the web version and the iPhone version is a good extension of that experience.

Sure you can pick colors, design, etc, but you can also use images in your own photo library to pull colors from. (not sure why, but cool nonetheless).  You can create the designs and save them to your Nike locker.  It’s hard not to hit the buy button once you’ve downloaded the app and started designing.  Cool app and I can’t wait to see other companies do the same.

Since the September 10 release Rhapsody has been downloaded over 500,000 times.  According to our slide rule, that’s roughly 12,195 downloads per day.  Not too shabby.

I am already a bog fan of this program!  Let me say that going into this.  For some reason, I have an unhealthy obsession with the Productivity category on the iTunes App store.  Constantly on the lookout for that one app that will propel my productivity through the roof.  Hint…it never happens.

This app has a great UI and looks at to-do apps from am atypical layout.  I appreciate that because even the big apps like Todo, OmniFocus, Things and more are all generally the same with slightly different spins.  Is this app perfect?  Certainly not, I already have a short list of changes I’d love to see the developer include in the next version.  However, for a 1.0 release, this is strong and has our attention here at Apps4Phones.
